Biography:
Born and raised in Northern California, Dr. Allen made his first visit to the North Coast to attend College of the Redwoods and Humboldt State University where he graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Chemistry (Biochemistry) and Biology (Cellular and Molecular Biology). Following graduation and a brief stay in the San Diego area, Dr. Allen moved to the Northeast to attend Albany Medical College in Albany, NY. He completed his Internal Medicine residency at Albany Medical Center and a fellowship in Hematology/Oncology at the University of Tennessee Cancer Institute in Memphis, TN. Since completing his fellowship, Dr. Allen has practiced in the Memphis, TN area and was an Assistant Professor at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center. Dr. Allen was heavily involved in clinical research during his tenure in Memphis, TN, where he served as the Principal Investigator for several research studies, both locally and nationally. Outside of work, Dr. Allen enjoys the outdoors and he and his wife have two small children.
