Biography:
Dr. Barkdull was raised in Humboldt County. His family has lived in the county for 6 generations. He moved away to attend the University of California, San Diego from 1995-1999 where he earned a degree in Molecular Biology. He stayed in San Diego for Medical School where he graduated with honors and was recognized for his outstanding contributions to medical student education. He then completed comprehensive surgical training in Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery. Dr. Barkdull is a member of the American Academy of Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery. He has written original peer-reviewed research papers in the areas of Sinus Surgery, Sleep Apnea, Thyroid and Parathyroid Disorders, Hearing Loss, Trauma and Reconstructive Surgery, and Head and Neck Cancer. He is pleased to be able to return to the North Coast to provide specialized surgical services to its residents.
